Columbia, MO

Columbia, MO is a beautiful place to visit. It is one of the few towns in the U.S. that is close to several world-famous museums, such as the American Folk Art Museum, the National Museum of Natural History, and the Natural History Museum of Minnesota. This city is also home to a number of colleges and universities, including the prestigious University of Missouri. The Museum of Arts and Archaeology exhibits both modern and antique artwork. Nearby, at the center of the main campus, is Francis Quadrangle, which features lawns, 6 towering stone pillars, many historic buildings, and beautiful flowering plant beds. On the west, Stephens Lake Park includes playgrounds, picnic areas, a great lake, and walkways. On the eastern side, the Science Center includes a large aquarium, indoor and outdoor exhibits. The Science Building is the oldest part of the campus, having been constructed in 1916. In addition to the museums, Columbia is home to a variety of attractions. Columbia, MO is popular with families, and the local population is very welcoming. The downtown area has many stores and restaurants, along with a variety of boutiques, movie theaters, and live performances. There are also many shopping malls located around town. Columbia, MO is home to a number of historical sites, including the St. Louis Arch, which are the tallest Gothic arch in the United States, and the St. Louis Zoo.
